Have you been on a poor date after a poor date, but you’re ghosted more than you can count left to someone just because you’re on the other side of the highway with you It’s there. So, you may wonder, especially as you approach Valentine’s Day, is there something wrong with me, or are you on a date in Los Angeles? Well, for better or worse, you know that it’s not just you.
We asked over 18,500 city residents about their dating lives in our latest Best City Survey across Globes for Timeout. Specifically, we tried to find out if locals find it easy to find love in their city.
You can see that they are not. In fact, Angelenos has a very miserable view of the dating scene here, so LA was tied to No. 5 (with New York) in the worst city in the world to find love. Only 26% of local respondents who said finding love in LA is easy
It was at least far better than 14% of Bilbao respondents. Span said the same thing and insisted on the worst city crown to find love. Conversely, 72% of Mumbai’s world-leading locals had positive outlook on the dating scene in big Indian cities.
So find some single bars and try out our date idea suggestions (including first date ideas). And what if they don’t work? Hopefully, you will find comfort in the knowledge that the majority of towns think they will smoke dating scenes as well. (And people say LA lacks unity…)
