First on FOX: A conservative group is suing the Department of Homeland Security as part of an effort to say it is “the greatest transparency” in the handling of institutions of illegal criminal immigration during the Biden administration.
The Center for Advancement of America’s Security (CASA) is suing DHS over records it requested during the Biden administration in October for the release of non-citizen data on criminal history and customs enforcement’s non-conclusive dockets.
Data released to lawmakers in September states that 425,431 convicted offenders have been found guilty of ICE’s non-conclusive dockets, and 222,141 people pending criminal charges. I did.

These include 62,231 people convicted of assault, 14,301 people convicted of robbery, 56,533 people convicted of drugs and 13,099 people convicted of murder. Another 2,521 people have been convicted of lunatics, with 15,811 being convicted of sexual assault.
There was an additional 1,845 pending homicide fees, 42,915 for assault, 3,266 for robbery and 4,250 for assault.
At the time, Biden DHS said that data dated back decades ago, including those who were not only free but also those who were imprisoned by federal, state or local governments. It also stated that it is included.
CASA requested the release of data, including internal communications and records from ice and customs and border security related to the data, as well as meeting requests, call logs and communications with media outlets. Documents were requested via Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests.

The group did not receive a response and filed a lawsuit in US District Court for the District of Columbia to force compliance from the agency.
“DHS’ failure to determine within the period required by law has led CASA to constructively exhaust its administrative relief and seek immediate judicial review,” the lawsuit states.
“Americans deserve maximum transparency regarding the government’s handling of all illegal aliens, but especially on aliens who have been found seriously criminally guilty,” said James, director of CASA. Fitzpatrick told Fox News Digital.
“This lawsuit will force DHS to provide the nation with records and communications related to the release of these illegal alien criminals,” he said.

Given the administration’s significantly different attitudes towards the release of illegal immigrants, it is unclear how the DHS under the Trump administration will handle the demands. DHS did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
The Trump administration has largely stopped the release of immigrants to the United States, partly due to President Trump’s orders that declared a national emergency on the southern border. That means that in turn, immigrants can be removed without being provided with the ability to asylum.
Furthermore, the administration has launched a massive deportation campaign, not only making arrests, but also taking important steps to detain illegal immigrants without liberating them, increasing the rate of deportation.
