A woman in the 60s was killed after a collision between two vehicles in Los Angeles’ Sunland area Tuesday afternoon, authorities confirmed.
The collision was reported at an area of 8,200 W Foothill Boulevard around 4:30pm, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the SUV driver was driving at high speed and “ping-pong” from several vehicles before colliding head-on with the Mercedes.
LAPD Sergeant Jodie McGee told KTLA that he was found in the back seat of the vehicle involved when he arrived.

She was identified only as a 60-year-old woman by LAFD. Her identity had a notice next door pending.
The driver of the same vehicle, identified only as a 60-year-old man, was taken to a local hospital for minor injuries. He was traveling at high speeds, McGee said, but that wasn’t exactly how fast and clear.
McGee said authorities believe one of these two had experienced a medical emergency prior to the crash, but it was not clear which one yet.
In all, seven vehicles were involved in the collision, most of which were “side width,” McGee said. Another person, a 35-year-old woman, was taken to a local hospital due to minor injuries.
Additional details were not available immediately.
