A large group of pro-Palestinian protesters marched on the UCLA campus on Tuesday, saying authorities were actively surveillance.
Starting at about 3pm, KTLA’s Sky 5 filmed footage of the protest. It was characterized by indications that denounced the University of California’s financial commitment to Israeli-owned companies.
In this footage, dozens of students marched across campus and eventually gathered at Westwood Plaza, in front of Charles E. Young South. The demonstration was completely peaceful as of 3:30pm.
In a social media post from 3:20pm, the UCLA Police Department said it was confident that it had “sufficient resources” to handle the situation.

The protests have come to mind President Donald Trump will move Palestinians from Gaza to other nearby countries, with the US controlling the Gaza Strip. Recently, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appeared to be embracing the idea, saying that he and Trump have a “common strategy” regarding Gaza.
The protests related to the Israeli-Hamas War and Israel’s occupation of Gaza are nothing new to the UCLA campus. Several demonstrations broke out into a bout of violence last spring as Israeli counter protesters clashed with students set in the camp.
The initially peaceful response to the protest was heavily criticized and ultimately led to the departure of former UCLA police chief John Thomas.
