Shawn “Diddy” Combs case includes racist accusations, claims of movement

Attorneys for Sean “Diddy” Combs are about to dismiss one of the charges against him in a federal assault case. Because it is racist and used disproportionately against black men.

Combs is awaiting trial, scheduled to commence provisionally in May, and has violated conspiracy, sex trafficking and MANN laws, allowing someone to cross state boundaries for the purposes of prostitution. Transportation is prohibited.

On Tuesday evening, his legal team filed a motion casting the prosecution under his racist man’s conduct. “Mr. Combs was chosen because he is strong and black and he is regularly charged with unpunitive conduct,” his lawyer alleged in their allegations.

The Mann Act was once called the White Slave Traffic Act, and was left to the law in 1910 to prohibit the transport of women for prostitution or other “immoral” purposes.

However, Combs’ lawyers pointed to the prosecution of Jack Johnson and Chuck Berry as an example of the past, the historical purpose of the law was to “target black men and perhaps protect white women.” He argued to the court that he was there. Johnson was forgiven after his death in 2018.

“A well-known white men, including former New York Governor Elliot Spitzer, are engaged in similar acts, but were not charged under the law,” the motion said.

combs is accused of hiring escorts and crossing states for sex in an unsealed federal complaint last year.

According to the motion, the escort service, which is not named in the motion, “is not a secret underground operation that was previously unknown. It has been open and operating for over 10 years. X has a website and over 10,000 followers. There is [formerly Twitter]. As the company’s own press page states, its business has been featured on Playgirl, Glamour, Sheen, Hustler, Cosmopolitan, and Esquire. ”

Combs, who is being held at a federal correctional facility in Brooklyn, New York, pleaded not guilty and claimed misconduct innocent.

In a recent litigation charge in Manhattan, federal prosecutors increased the number of victims of sex trafficking from one to three, but do not identify them. The “Victim 1” claim reflects what was created in a 2023 lawsuit filed by singer and Combs’ ex-girlfriend Cassandra “Cathy” Ventura. The lawsuit was finally resolved. The extended indictment also extended the period of alleged conspiracy, saying it began in 2004 instead of 2008 and continued until 2024.

The indictment alleges that the founder of Bad Boy Entertainment used his empire to force victims into gender at a rally known as “Frak-Offs.”

It argues for coercion that “coercion that causes “used forces, threats of power, and victims, including, but not limited to, three female victims” to engage in commercial sexual activity.

Combs was arrested in September after nearly a year of federal investigations.

Prosecutors allege that as part of the sex trafficking scheme, Comb and his aides engaged in violence, abuse, arson and tricked them, and wielding firearms during one person’s aid.

Combs’ lawyers have failed to try to eliminate evidence that they say it was leaked, including a 2016 video showing Combs and Ventura in the hallways of the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles.

The video, obtained and published by CNN last year, shows Combs chasing down the hallway, kicking her, smacking her, throwing a vase at her, then dragging her into the door of the room. The video quickly went viral, confirming at least some of the allegations of physical abuse against the singer detailed in the 2023 lawsuit.

Since the first accusations, more and more people have sued the comb and accused him of sexual abuse, some of which are minors on suspicion of conduct. None of the federal claims involve minors.
