A group of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) workers and civil rights groups are calling to stop President Donald Trump’s presidential order aimed at restoring merit to American institutions.

“As proven during his first term in office due to his response to a massive demonstration against systemic anti-black racism following the murder of George Floyd, President Trump includes the DEIA initiative. They tried to quell efforts to advance racial justice,” the lawsuit says. “That singular focus continues in his current administration.
