Two governors, one Democrat and the other Republican, one of President Donald Trump’s most important goals, found common ground at the National Association of Governors Conference in Washington, DC. Ta.

Governor Jared Police, Colorado, is a Democrat and chairman of the National Governors Association, and Governor Kevin Stitt, an Oklahoma Republican, has announced that the nation will send immigration enforcement and work permits to Fox News Digital. He said he wanted to make it a nation to issue it.

“We want to make sure we are at the table regarding immigration,” Police told Fox News Digital.

Dem says they are against government waste, but they hate it even more

He said the idea that the nation should have a seat at the table when it comes to immigration decisions “has a lot of support (in) both Democrats and Republican governors.”

Police said the state knows what their labor needs are and could grant work permits after careful review.

“Let’s be able to grant people based on a free background check…and that will help us grow our economy,” Police said.

Police, whose state has zero due to criminal activity and violence by immigrant gangster Tren de Aragua, said there is a need for “various degree of cooperation” between the state and federal authorities.

Colorado has several sanctuary-style laws that restrict law enforcement cooperation with federal authorities, but Police argued that it had strong ties with federal law enforcement.

Stitt said he would encourage Trump to consider giving the nation the ability to grant workforce visas.

“I was a labor visa advocate at the state level,” Stitt said. “Matching employers with employees is something the governor should be able to do, whether it’s the construction industry, agriculture industry, engineering, aviation, etc.”

He joked that the US is “similar.” [a team in] NFL with the No. 1 draft pick. ”

“We should be able to choose the best and brightest for our country. But we’re just stupid how we do it now. Let’s close the borders,” Stitt said. I said.

Stitt also promoted the state’s watchdog campaign. He empowered the state and local law enforcement agencies earlier this month to work with the Trump administration and Ice to deport criminally illegal foreigners.

“I was in charge of the Public Safety Commissioner and said, “How many people are in Oklahoma prisons currently committing crimes? From our state, from our country, and From the Oklahoma taxpayer roll, I think that’s probably the first step,” Stitt said.

But Stitt said there are restrictions on what the state should do to enforce immigration laws. He knocked on a recent effort by the Oklahoma Public Leadership Department to check the status of immigration among children enrolled in public schools.

“In Oklahoma, “listen, I’m not going to seek immigration status for 6, 7 or 8 year olds in school,” he said.

But Ryan Walters, Oklahoma’s public leadership superintendent, responded by saying that Stitt’s attitude of not checking the status of child immigrants in schools would undermine Trump’s agenda.

“Unfortunately, it’s a shame that Gov. Stitt is blocking President Trump’s first American agenda,” Walters told Fox News Digital. “We can’t afford to stab our heads into the sand like Democrats and ignore illegal costs to taxpayers. President Trump is clear, Oklahoma voters are clear, and the president and Oklahomans are clear. I defend my will.”
