More than a month after Eton Fire in Altadena, a lost cat during evacuation reunited with its owner.
The owner is reunited with his beloved pet thanks to the work of two local cat rescuers and calls from his neighbors.
The two local trappers say they want to take action immediately after the Eton fire, make good use of their skills and save as much cat as they can.
And the work continues as they continue to go home day and night and plan more reunions.
“I found her when she was 4 weeks old,” said Ria Cousineau, owner of Bergie the Cat.
On the night of the Eton fire last month, Belgium tested her own resilience.
“She creeped up and I probably spent 15 minutes looking at the whole house,” Kazuno said. “I don’t know where she went to hide, but it was getting closer and closer. And I finally had to leave, and I left the dog’s door open and at least home. I was hoping to find a way out of the world.”
The Kauzineau home just below the present barren hillside has been destroyed.
A few days later, she says there was a cat saying similar to humanitarian society, and that she had hope.
“Belgium has this little tiny nick in her ears. That’s kind of her thing I was going to use. But the humane society cat, her ears were burned. But we continued to visit her,” Kazuno said.

A few weeks have passed and she received a text from her neighbor in a post about the missing cat that was found.
“I have two cats and they’re tipped so I don’t ask, but I don’t mind emailing. I get emails every few days, I miss the cats and they gives you a cross-section of where it thinks it’s gone,” said Steve Schclere, who helped reunite her owner with Burgie.
“And I got this random stray email and found this cat and looked like her, so I sent her a photo and she was so excited, and it’s her pussy , yes, it’s even Nick, it’s here, it’s here, it’s here, ‘ Schcler said.
“We already have trap skills so it was clear that this was something we could do,” said Amy Dresser, one of the local trappers.

The camera caught Belgium for food multiple times in the middle of the night while Amy and Lexi were tracking down.
“On the first night, I kept hugging her and hugging her. She just wanted to comfort her. I felt like you had to be someone else’s baby,” Dresser said. .
On the eve of Valentine’s Day, Burgie and her owners were reunited 32 days after the fire.
Cousineau said when Bergie got home she was excited to meet her friends, especially Ruby, the dog she grew up with.

“She was once a very loud eater, but she’s no longer there. She only eats anything she’s given to her, and she always screams like she feeds and touches me. ” Couginow said.
“I know it’s awful to lose your home, but they feel they’ve gone out with all their animals, and that’s what you’ll make their family a perfect I find it amazing to be a part of you who knows,” Dresser said.
Dresser and Vander Haven say they’re part of five reunions like Kausinault and Belgium, and are currently waiting for the two to reunite with their owners. Ta.
