The crew defeated a devastating pallet fire reported in Sun Valley on Monday night.
At 9:37pm, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported that crews were on the scene of a large external fire pallet storage, multiple vehicles (including box trucks), and other items in the storage yard.
The storage yard where the fire erupted is located in the 7,000 block of North Radford Avenue, according to the LAFD.
“The crew continues to cover the flames with heavy streams (large hose lines) while prioritizing the protection of nearby commercial buildings,” Lafd said in the release.
Around 9:50pm, an unconfirmed report said the flame was burning a commercial building, a semi truck and two box trucks.
Sky5 reported overhead that its crew quickly saw multiple cars and other vehicles already in flames.
Gil Leyvas of Ktla said he heard the LAFD assess the situation around 10:14pm, calling a dangerous material team and heavy equipment to move the damaged vehicle.
