An investigation is underway after deputies who responded to the San Bernardino County home were involved in a shooting that was hospitalized late Monday night.
The lawmaker was called to his home in the 10,700 block of Central Road in Apple Valley around 10pm.
The nature of the phone was unknown, but a spokesman for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that at one point a fatal force encounter occurred and the man was hit.
The injured individual was taken to a local hospital in unknown conditions.

The spokesman did not confirm the age or identity of the injured person, but the family identified him as Elisha Brown. The family said Brown was 16 or 17 years old and was airlifted to the hospital.

The relatives shared footage with KTLA showing the aide ringing the doorbell. After a while a group of people rush out of the door and the vice minister lights brown.
The Sheriff’s Department has not confirmed details surrounding the shooting, but said the investigation is ongoing and additional information will be released.
