An elderly woman came face to face with a house invader in her bedroom when she broke into a house in Roland Heights Monday.
The 79-year-old wanted to hide her identity from fear of her safety, but when she heard the noise outside the front door in the 2400 block of Pocatello Street, she was already in bed around 9pm. He said.
She first stood up and said she checked the lock before returning to bed. A few minutes later, two masked men dressed in black, broke into her bedroom and ordered her to stay still and cover her face with a sheet when she plundered her house. Ta.
Both burglars were made for hundreds of dollars before police arrived, law enforcement said.
“It’s awful, I hope they find people who have done this,” said the neighbors who don’t want to reveal their names.
A neighbor whose senior parents live across the street from where the crime occurred, described the neighborhood as quiet and peaceful.
“Most of the neighbors I know have grown older and retired,” he said.
As the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the incident, the tragic experience left the victim with anxious fear in her home.
After the break-in, the women’s children have installed security cameras around their homes.
