Exclusive: Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tarsi Gabbard recalled the lively atmosphere within President Donald Trump’s first cabinet meeting held on Wednesday at the White House when his team met at a record time.
“What I got was a high level of energy and a really positive outlook,” Gabbard told Fox News Digital in an exclusive interview at the White House after the meeting.
“We’re all in sprint mode,” she said.

“We have a cabinet full of great Americans who are dedicated to serving our country and our American people, ensuring safety, security, freedom and prosperity,” the Director of National Intelligence added, noting the inspiration that billionaire Elon Musk’s government efficiency (DOGE) is already sparking sparks in the Trump administration.
According to Gabbard, who makes Trump’s cabinets special, “Most of us have known each other for a long time. We’ve worked together. We’re actually friends.”

She went to the point where she called this level of collaboration “unprecedented” in the president’s cabinet.
Trump’s second term cabinet achieved several first-first results, including appointing Gabbard as the National Intelligence News’ first Pacific Islands overseer, appointed Secretary of State Marco Rubio as the first Hispanic in his role, and appointed Treasury Secretary Scott Bescent as a member of the first Republican cabinet to be openly gay.

Moreover, Trump has already exceeded the number of women he had in his first cabinet, with five already appointed and eight in total.

But “You’ve heard nothing about it,” Gabbard pointed out.

“Even when I ran for president in 2020, I went through this from my previous party. [Diversity, Equity and Inclusion] For example, unless women of color didn’t like what they had to say. ”
