A female arson suspect was shot dead when a Los Angeles County deputy who served as a search warrant at a San Gabriel Valley home opened fire early Thursday morning.
Filming occurred around 12:30am in the 8700 block of Scott Street in Rosemead.
“The detective responded to the location of the suspected arson at the barricade,” the Sheriff’s Department said. “A search warrant was provided and at that point we had secondary ammunition.”
The victim was identified only as a female adult, and was shot and taken to a local hospital where she was declared dead.
Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting on February 27, 2025, including deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office in Rosemead (KTLA)
No details have been shared regarding the suspect she allegedly committed or arson incident.
The Sheriff’s Office said none of those injured in the incident.
