Tarshi Gabbard, the new director of national intelligence, thanked President Donald Trump for his “unwavering leadership” during a meeting early in the day after his clash with Ukrainian President Voldime Zelenkie on Friday.
“Thanks to @realdonaldtrump for the unwavering leadership that rose to the interests and peace of the Americans,” Gabbard wrote on X Friday evening, hours after the fiery exchange.
“What you said is absolutely true. Zelensky has been trying to drag Russia/WWII and the United States into nuclear war for years, but no one has it.”
Tensions rose during an oval office meeting on Trump, Zelenky, Zelenky and the potential peace deal between Russia and Ukraine after Zelenky said Russian President Vladimir Putin was unreliable and violated other agreements.
Zelenskyy will speak out after the release with Trump, Vance is “bad for both parties,” says Dustup.
President Trump and Vice President JD Vance later accused Zelensky of not appreciating the support the US has provided over the years, and said Ukrainian leaders were in a “bad position” at the negotiation table.

“You’re playing cards,” Trump said. “You’re living and gambling for millions of people. You’re gambling with World War II. You’re gambling with World War II. And what you’re doing is very rude to this country, to this country.”
After Vance said there are personnel and military recruitment issues in Zelensky Ukraine, Zelensky said the war “everyone has problems, you, you, you, you, you, you, you,” adding that the United States will feel war “in the future.”
“Don’t tell us what we’re trying to feel,” Trump replied. “We’re trying to solve the problem. Don’t tell us what we’re trying to feel.”
Zelenskyy was asked to leave the White House after the exchange, a press conference was cancelled, and the contract that Ukraine gave the US rare earth minerals was not signed.

Zelenskyy expressed his gratitude for America’s help after the meeting.
“Thank you to America, thank you for your support, thank you for this visit,” he wrote to X:
The Ukrainian president told Bret Baier in an interview with Fox News after a meeting that he believes Ukraine-US relations could be recovered.

When asked about the heated replacement, Zelenskyy said, “I don’t know if we did anything wrong,” but admitted that the dust up was “bad on both sides.”

Trump has also received support from Republicans like Secretary of State Marco Rubio. He said Trump said he would “facing America,” but Democrats like Arizona Senator Mark Kelly have written about X.
