More than 50 Maine school districts have policies that allow minors to hide their gender identity from their parents, according to a new Watchdog report.

Parent Advocacy Education (PDE), a grassroots organization that tracks gender ideology in schools across the country, has filed public records to ensure that at least 57 of the state’s 192 school districts have a policy that excludes knowing whether a child is identified as a different gender.

The report comes after President Donald Trump disciplined Democratic Maine Gov. Janet Miliss last week for refusing to enforce Trump’s “women-less men in women’s sports” executive order.

“It was not at all surprising to see the governor of Maine go to the mat. When more than 50 Maine school districts write policies to deceive parents about their children, men stay in women’s sports.”

“We’ve seen a bunch of Maine parents talk about this because they’re aware of it, and it’s our hope that the district will start rolling back these policies as it’s not just executive orders from the Trump administration, but nearly 80% of their voters are opposed to them,” she said.

In one of the state’s largest districts, Portland Public Schools, district policy for “trans and gender broad students,” states that “if students and their parents or legal guardians do not agree with the student’s gender identity or gender representation, the school must adhere to the student’s wishes regarding the student’s gender identity and gender representation.

“School staff shall adhere to the student’s wishes regarding disclosure of transgender status to others.

Policies like Portland are still in effect after Trump signed the executive order at the end of January. “End the radical indoctrination of kindergarten to high school education.” “Translating students towards surgical and chemical amputations without parental consent or involvement, or allowing women to access designated private spaces may be inconsistent with federal laws protecting parental rights.”

Trump has already threatened to cut off Maine’s federal funds if Maine continues to ignore the order.

“I heard that men are still playing in Maine,” Trump told a gathering of Republican governors in Washington last week.

“I hate to tell you this, but we’re not going to give them federal money. They’re still saying, ‘We want men to play in women’s sports.’ And I can’t believe they’re doing that.

Trump signed an executive order earlier this month banning men from women’s sports. This directs that grants, programs, and “programs and “programs” be reviewed that are not consistent with efforts to block women’s participation in sports. The order mandates strict enforcement of Title IX and threatens to cancel federal funds from uncomplicated educational institutions and athletic groups.

After the order, several other blue states have shown that they will not adhere to it, including California and Minnesota.

Fox News Digital reached out to the Maine Department of Education for comment.
