The tense meeting between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Voldime Zelenkie is shining the spotlight from promoting freedom to “divergence” of European countries and reaching peace in Eastern Europe, National Intelligence Director Tarsi Gabbard said in “Fox News Sunday.”
“I think he’s the one who criticizes me [Trump’s] Efforts in this way show that they are not committed to peace, and that, despite the fact that in many of these European countries they are talking about this, they are not committed to the causes and values of freedom,” Gabbard told Fox News’ Shannon Bream on Sunday morning when asked about the US politicians of the Democrats when asked about the US politicians of the Democrats criticising a meeting celebrating tensions with Zerunky at a tense White House and Russia meeting.
“We have heard very clearly in Vice President Vance’s speech in Munich that various examples of these European partners and long-standing allies actually implementing policies that undermine democracy, which often shows people’s voices not actually believe.
Zelensky traveled to the UK over the weekend, following his meeting with Trump and Vance, culminating in Trump, telling Ukrainian leaders to leave the White House, but added in a social media post that “Zelensky could come back for another meeting ‘when peace is ready’.

On Saturday, Zelensky met with British Prime Minister Kiel Starmer. Kiel Starmer saw him hugging him and told local media on Sunday he was holding the reins of Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron, Britain and France’s president, and ultimately the United States, creating a plan of peace.
European leaders meet in London on Sunday for further discussion on the peace plan.
In her interview, Gabbard argued that “there is something fundamentally deep here, “there are great differences and differences between the values of the United States, national security and European countries, providing continued support for war.”

“There is something fundamentally deep here that shows the great difference and difference between the values that President Trump and Vice President Vance are enshrined in our constitution, the interests of the American people in our peace, freedom and national security. The fundamental values of freedom,” she said.
Brim’s follow-up, asking whether Gabbard would denial by asking Gabbard whether Gabbard would identify Russia as a country that celebrates freedom like the United States, added, “That’s not what we’re talking about here.”
“I don’t make that claim. It’s clear that it’s not, and it’s not President Trump either. But that’s not what we’re talking about here. We’re talking about these European countries and Zelensky himself, claiming to be standing and fighting for freedom and democracy.

“You have election cancellations in Ukraine. You have political parties silenced, criminalised, or thrown into prisons. You have religious freedom, churches closed, political opposition silenced, and full government control of the media.”

“That really asks for a question,” she continued. “It’s clear that, as Vice President Vance said again in Munich, they are against Putin. Obviously, that’s clear. But is it consistent with what they are actually fighting for and the value they claim to have agreed with us?
Zelenskyy’s White House visit was shorter following a hot exchange on Friday. This includes asking Ukrainian leaders about their appreciation for their long-standing US support, and Trump told Zelensky that Ukraine would either make a deal with the US or fight the war himself.

“You’re going to make a deal or we’re going out. And if we’re going out, you’ll fight it. I don’t think it’ll be clean, but you’ll fight it. But you’ll fight it. But when we sign that deal, you’re in a much better position. But you’re not grateful at all.
As part of the peace deal, the Trump administration has been working to inked an agreement with Ukraine to allow the United States to access Ukraine’s minerals in exchange for the assistance the United States has provided since the outbreak of war in 2022.

However, the Ukrainian president did not offer an apology, but he said he respected Trump and the United States.

“No, I respect the President and I respect the people of America… I think we have to be very open and very honest. I don’t know if we’ve done anything wrong,” he added when he asked again if he believed he was owing an apology again.
