British Prime Minister Kiel Starmer on Sunday proposed a framework for a peace program between Ukraine and Russia, but he admitted it relies heavily on assuming US support.
Starmer revealed the plan with French President Emmanuel Macron and other European leaders during a meeting with Ukrainian President Voldy Mirzelensky on Sunday. In a concession with President Donald Trump’s administration, he emphasized that European countries need to “strengthen their own burdens” in the case of a peace agreement to ensure Ukraine’s security.
Priority said the UK is ready to deploy boots on Ukraine’s ground and to deploy air force assets to ensure Russia does not infringe on the peace deal. Nevertheless, he said the plan would depend heavily on us supporting us as well.
Macron told French media that European leaders have been discussing plans in Ukraine to freeze strikes from the air, sea and energy infrastructure for 30 days. He said windows could be used to negotiate a wider peace agreement.

Meanwhile, Zelensky himself has been in damage control since the disastrous meeting with Trump and Vice President JD Vance at the White House on Friday. Zelenskyy emphasizes that he is still willing to sign a rare earth mineral trade with the White House.
However, Ukrainian leaders have said after a meeting in Europe on Sunday that “the best security guarantee is the strong Ukrainian army.”
Zelenskyy will speak out after the release with Trump, Vance is “bad for both parties,” says Dustup.
“The failure of Ukraine will not only mean Putin’s success, but it will be a failure for Europe and a failure for the US,” he said.

Many Republicans on Capitol Hill have gathered behind Trump’s criticism of Zelensky. Senator Lindsey Graham, Rs.C. called on Ukrainian leaders to resign on Sunday.
“He’s going to have to step down and send someone that we can do business or he needs to change,” Graham said after a meeting Friday.

Zelenskyy countered that when Graham becomes a Ukrainian citizen, he could oppress Ukrainian leaders, and Graham replied, “Unfortunately, no one has a voice in Ukraine until the election is held.”

According to the senator, he does not think Americans view the Ukrainian president as someone who feels comfortable “entering into business” following the aired conflict.

Graham also emphasized that Ukrainian-American relations are “crucial.” However, he questioned whether Zelenskyy could “do business with the United States.”
