Former R-FLA Rep. Lincoln Diaz Barato passed away at the age of 70.

He officially switched party loyalty in 1985 and was elected to the Florida State Legislature in 1986. Diaz Barato leaves behind his 48-year-old wife, Christina. his son Daniel. Two grandchildren and three brothers. He was preceded in his death by his eldest son, Lincoln Gabriel.

At a press conference, R-FLA’s Lincoln Diasbarat will be giving a speech to publish a “breaking order” report on September 25, 2007, documenting “discussion, politeness, deliberation breakdowns and deliberations in the hands of the Rules Committee.”

“Lincoln’s deep love for the United States and his relentless commitment to the free Cuban cause have led him throughout his life and led him 24 years in elected public services, including 18 years in the U.S. House of Representatives,” Mario’s announcement said. “We miss him infinitely.”
