San Bernardino Sup. Joe Baka was bullied and accused of sexism by former staffer

Former district director of San Bernardino County supervisor Joe Baka Jr. has accused politicians of raising toxic workplaces where they are cursed, harassed and paid $50,000 less than male employees in similar roles.

Sonja Pang filed a government tort claim against the county last week, seeking allegations of recent firing and abuse he suffered while working under BACA.

In her claims, the idiot was a bully. The idiot called one staff member “pub head” and said that another staff member was aging, always sick and “didn’t s but didn’t absorb his budget” and he needed to be kicked out of work. Pan also claimed that the idiot had stared at her breasts and made sexual comments about his employees, and openly said he liked physically attractive female job seekers.

In a statement to the Times Friday, BACA said that any of Pang’s allegations were “not the core of truth” and was disappointed that someone would “make such a completely false claim.”

“A lot of people have worked for me in the California Legislature and as county supervisors. I have always treated each member of staff with the utmost respect and appreciated them for the work I serve,” he said. “For a long time I have been the champion of progress and fair treatment for women in all workers. I always start with my own staff.”

A county spokesperson said he could not comment on the pending lawsuit.

The tort claims are necessary to bring lawsuits against the idiots and the county, and they are about to do so soon, her lawyer, Joe Richardson, told The Times.

Pang worked for BACA since he took office in 2020 until it ended on February 21st in 2020. When she was fired, she said she was his district chief/deputy chief of staff.

She claimed that BACA runs a retaliatory workplace and told her, “If anyone reports a complaint against him to the HR department, they will be removed.” She says she knows at least two other employees who were allegedly forced to resign or fired for their remarks.

“In many cases, BACA will abusively yell orders that will bother her with her work and threaten her if she fails to comply,” the claim states. “He yelled at her, cursed her, and if she didn’t do what he asked, he threatened to “make a big change.” ”

She further claims she was “awfully underpaid” compared to her two male predecessors and staff members who have similar responsibility in other county offices.

When she asks idiot about the pay raise he said he had promised her, he claims, “I said I told you I could get another person. [her] According to the claim, the position is “young, beautiful, with no children.”

Pan also accused BACA of employing employees of county employees and letting them support his campaign work, but that is not permitted.

She also alleges that he hampered efforts to be hired at another office in the county, a manager who was previously open to discussing opportunities he closed with her after she ended.

She argues that BACA “had an impact on this change and effectively freed her from future employment opportunities within the county.”

BACA is a former high school teacher who served one term in the state legislature from 2004 to 2006 before resigning to take office in the state Senate. He served on the Rialto City Council before being elected to the Supervisory Board. He represents the fifth district of the board, covering the cities of San Bernardino, Rialto and Colton.
