Border state lawmakers move to end UN funding for immigration efforts

First Fox: Texas lawmakers are moving forward by pushing for bar funding to UN organizations dealing with mass migration amid the Trump administration’s crackdown on international funding.

R-Texas Rep. Lance Gooden is reintroducing tax-free taxes from the UN Immigration Aggression Act, which prohibits federal funds from going to the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the United Nations Relief Agency for Palestinian Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), and the International Organization (IOM) (IOM).

Research should also be conducted to identify all funding grants to UN agencies and all funding for non-governmental organizations that received funding under these programs. A report will also be requested to identify the funds that should be repaid to the US government.

House, Senators move to restrictions on NGOs supporting illegal immigration amid crackdowns

“Now is the time to stop subsidizing our own destruction,” Gooden said in a statement. “The UN runs taxpayer-funded operations. Illegal immigration is focusing illegal immigration in our country, threatening our sovereignty, security, and the very fabric of our country. I’m working with the Trump administration to end this quickly.”

Gooden has been sounding alarms for years about funding for the United Nations and nonprofits that it believes encourages large-scale migration to the United States. That’s the appeal reflected by the Trump administration.

On his first day in office, President Donald Trump ordered a 90-day fundraising freeze to support foreign aid. Meanwhile, USAID has undergone a deep cut. This is being fired from the Elon Musk-led Government Efficiency Bureau.

The focus of migration comes after a historic border crisis that spans almost the entire Biden administration. The Trump administration deployed the military to the border, reduced the ability of immigrants to asylum, ended its parole policy and launched a massive deportation campaign.

Gooden’s bill comes after the introduction of related bills last month. This prevents federal contracts and grants from being awarded to NGOs unless they acknowledge the Administration and Budget Office of Not engaging in human trafficking or smuggling. It also extracts tax-free status from organizations that knowingly violate federal law.

“For years, non-governmental organizations have misused taxpayer dollars to promote illegal immigration pose as ‘humanitarian aid,” Gooden said in a statement at the time.
