The thief breaks into influencer Bel Air’s house and ends with fake cash

An influencer known as “The Money Queen” declared that the robber had broken into a Bel Air home and “karma won” in a pile of fake cash used for photo shoots.

The Los Angeles Police Department responded to a robbery call at his home shortly after 1am Monday, according to a department spokesperson. By the time the officers arrived, the suspects were gone.

The house belongs to financial influencer Amanda Francis, author and creator of an online course that says aims to help women gain wealth.

“The robbers plundered my closet and hurt my house in the process, but they dropped almost everything and prioritized prop money when faced with the security guards of our neighbors,” Francis said in a statement she shared with the Times.

The thief abandoned some designer bags on the street, and police were able to recover it, she said. In a hurry to get away, they left some of the fake money scattered across the street. She also believes they made with a handful of wallets, rings and necklaces but dropped most of the major valuable items.

Amanda Francis will be seen at New York Fashion Week in February.

Fake money was used in recent photography to promote Francis’ “Money Mentality Makeover” digital course. In the past, Francis retreated and returned real money from the bank for a photo shoot, but she chose prop money this time after the photographer suggested it would be safer, she said.

Francis reassured that the stolen money was fake, but she remains rattled by the experience.

“I work incredibly hard throughout my entire life and own a home in Bel Air,” she said. “I was a kid who grew up in a small town in Oklahoma, so I’m disappointed and distraught that the city I had dreamed of living.

Francis founded an online education and coaching company in 2011, specializing in financial empowerment courses for women. The influencer currently has over half a million followers on Instagram, and she charges herself as a “homemade majority party” and “repeated, unrealistic goal achievement.”

In an Instagram message shared with The Times, Francis said he bought the house from Kyle Richards and Mauricioumanski. Richards is Paris Hilton’s aunt and best known for his longtime role in “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” while Umanski is a real estate broker known for his own reality show “Buying the Beverly Hills.”

“They raised four kids here. I have four kids,” she told The Times. “This is a family home and we are no longer safe.”
