A Hollywood woman was convicted on Tuesday of running a lucrative drug industry business from her apartment, and the ju judge determined she was responsible for supplying fentanyl, which caused multiple overdose in 2020 and 2021.

Milera Todorova, 36, has been accused of enduring trials since last month, and led by a prosecutor who is said to be “drugs.” She was convicted of nine counts, including three drug distributions that caused “severe physical injury” with three non-fatal overdose.

After being removed from a courtroom in downtown Los Angeles early Tuesday, Todorova responded to the unanimous verdict of the ry court after being read out of the courtroom early on Tuesday, and not betraying his feelings.

Authorities said they were first warned in 2020 when Beverly Hills resident Ray Mascolo was found dead after purchasing fentanyl-covered oxycodone tablets from one of the Todrova delivery drivers.

Three overdose survivors testified at a downtown Los Angeles trial. Two of them, along with several disgruntled customers, repeatedly warned Todorova throughout 2020 and 2021, according to text messages obtained by the Drug Enforcement Bureau.

But again and again she ignored their concerns that she would make a profit, her former delivery driver, Cather Say, said during the trial.

“That’s not something I signed up for,” Sei said. “People are sick. People are injured.”

In addition to the fentanyl distribution number sentenced to a mandatory minimum sentence of 20 years, Todrova was convicted of selling methamphetamine, cocaine and ecstasy, engaging in conspiracy, and making false statements to authorities.

A DEA agent searching for Todorova’s apartment said he found several stockpiles of plastic bowls containing colorful pills and powders. Ziploc cash bags labeled with amounts were tucked into bedside drawers and scattered around the floor.

The agent eventually seized a cache of drugs containing cocaine, MDMA, ketamine, mushrooms and various tablets and capsules, including discoloured oxycodone that tested positive for fentanyl. They also confiscated nearly $9,000 in cash and Todorova’s iPhone. Prosecutors said they have saved “a Daily Journal of Drug Owners Who Run the Drug Business.”

Evidence from Todorova’s Imessage and WhatsApp accounts showed that she regularly sent updated drug menus to the driver and client, instructing SEI how to cook drugs in her apartment, and demanding efficiency from other delivery drivers, maximizing her profits, estimated at around $790,000.

Prosecutors said they “pay business attention” by linking her cell phone to several “workphones” used by employees to several “workphones” used by employees, despite their routine trips to the US and Mexico to raise their pet Princess Jaguar.

Todorova stood in her own defense on Monday to reject the idea that she coordinated the plot and instead cast herself into a supportive role on the other side of her ex-boyfriend Javier Lopez.

Prosecutors said Monday that DEA agents had attempted to contact Lopez to serve a trial subpoena, claiming that his alleged involvement in the conspiracy did not deny Todorova’s guilt.

Todorova testified that she met Lopez, a self-proclaimed club promoter, over a decade before she first started a party in Hollywood.

“I was attracted to his personality and the way he knew everyone and was the center of attention,” Todorova said. It was exciting to tag alongside Lopez at the city’s hottest nightclubs, she added.

Lopez’s friend offered her cocaine, Todorova said, she politely declined, fearing that she would become addicted. However, within a few years she was a semi-regular drug user and then Lopez’s occasional delivery driver. Still, she said she always thought business was him.

“At Todorova, Lopez found an easy prey,” wrote Todorova’s lawyer Charles Brown, in a last minute move to dismiss the case Sunday.

“She was young, attractive and obviously intelligent, but she was socially naive, socially isolated, and suffered from neurodevelopmental disorders that made her emotionally hungry for love and connection.

However, Todorova’s former delivery driver and client testified that she had not answered anyone. She said herself in many textual references to “my business” and “my driver.” In one message from 2018, she said the supplier said Lopez was working for her.

Regarding overdose, Brown claimed during his trial that all three victims in the case had taken other medications and had taken alcohol the same night he purchased oxy from Todorova. Such substances have a “synergistic effect,” he said. So when it comes to identifying the cause of overdose, “the equation is not that easy.”

However, lab tests showed that one overdose victim had fentanyl metabolites, cocaine and benzodiazepines (commonly sold as barium or Xanax) on the system.

And in a text message, Todorova confirmed to customers that they had fentanyl tablets in stock that look like “Perc 30s” or Oxy Blues. She said they were $30 each.

Todorova, a Bulgarian immigrant who attended Canadian primary school before his family moved to Newbury Park in the early 2000s, was a quiet and intelligent child, his mother, Margaret Todorova, testified during the trial. Before Solo moved to Hollywood in 2020, Todorova was on track to pursue a career in biotechnology.

Todorova said that even if she threw herself into the orbit of her ex-boyfriend, her mother wouldn’t stop her from defending her return to her research.
