The suspect was arrested after it was discovered that the man was shot dead in a parking lot along the river.
The suspect was identified as Jose Leon Navalette, 25, of Riverside.
On February 21, Riverside Police responded to a report of the shooting in the Autozone parking lot in the 1900 block of University Avenue around 10:45pm.
Upon arrival, officers found the vehicle where the victim, Carlos Delrial, 52, was found with a gunshot wound.
He was declared dead at the scene. The shooter had fled the area before authorities arrived.
The murder detective later identified Navalet as a suspected gunman. On February 27th, he was taken into custody at a motel in Colton. He was arrested for murder and is being held without bail.

The detectives did not say whether the suspect and the victim were known to each other. The situation leading up to the fatal shooting remains unknown. No further details have been made public as the case is under investigation.
