Preparations are underway in an area near the Eton Fire Burn Zone before the storm as Sierra Madre residents receive evacuation warnings.

The emergency crew says that now is the time to prepare and be ready to notify you immediately.
During the storm in mid-February, Little Santa Anita Creek had huge debris and rock streams that caused damage to homes and streets due to the block.
Evacuation orders and warnings were in place during the storm a few weeks ago.
The possibility of these trends happening again this week is why these evacuation warnings begin again late this morning.
“If mudflow occurs, public safety and public works personnel will not be able to enter the active debris flow zone. This means that if you are behind, they may be locked up for several days before emergency crew contact you,” said Sierra Madre Fire Chief Brent Bartlett.
City officials want to prepare residents now before the rain falls.
Free punching bags are available today from 8am. Until 4pm at the city yard on East Sierra Madre Boulevard, behind the YMCA.
All households are limited to 25 bags and people need to show evidence of residence.
They also need to have their own shovels brought to them to scoop the sand into the bag.
Residents can also check the Genasys app for evacuation warnings.
The city says the zone will not appear on the map until the warning begins.
