Two suspects have been arrested for credit card theft and identity fraud targeting victims in Southern California.
The suspects were identified as Veronica Kushnareva, 32, of San Jose and Richard Kissinger, 40, of Walnut, according to the Costa Mesa Police Department.
In late February, the victim was waiting to receive his credit card by mail to the police, but he did not receive it. The stolen card was placed after the suspect used it to purchase at the Newport Beach Hotel.

When the officers arrived at the hotel they quickly found the pair. The vehicle they were using was also reported to have been stolen.
The female suspect, Kushnareva, was in a hotel room where police found a collection of blank business checks, laptops, printers, fake money and high-end radio jamers. The arrest photos also show a collection of credit cards stolen in the room.
Kushnareva was arrested for possession of property used in possession of stolen credit cards and drug-related equipment.
The second suspect, Kissinger, was found to be “hiding on the stairs of a nearby motel” by officers searching the area on foot. He was identified as someone allegedly using a stolen card and was driving the stolen vehicle, police said.
Detectives said the victims and businesses with credit cards stolen by the suspects included residents of Costa Mesa, Irvine, Newport Beach, Tustin and Fontana. Police have successfully contacted the 15 victims and are looking for more.
