DJ Daniel, a 13-year-old brain cancer survivor who dreams of working in law enforcement, visited President Donald Trump in his elliptical office in the White House just hours after warming the hearts of millions who were appointed members of the Honorary Secret Service during a joint speech to Congress Tuesday night.
In the video shared on X, Daniel could be seen standing next to a card in his oval office.
The president replies, “Like, very good.”

Trump then waves Daniel’s father’s hand and adds, “Was it a big night last night? It was a big night,” then asks how he’s doing.
The Texas boy’s representation during Tuesday night’s surprise went viral on social media, when his father hugged him in the air and embraced U.S. Secret Service Director Sean Curran.

“I wasn’t expecting that,” Daniel said on Wednesday that “Fox & Friends” co-hosted Steve Doucy. “No one even told us [it was going to happen]. ”
The doctor lived with him for just five months after being diagnosed with brain cancer in 2018, but he survived and endured numerous surgeries.
Devarjay “DJ” Daniel held the US Secret Service Special Agent ID and was presented to him on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 by the director of Sean Curran of the US Secret Service to address President Donald Trump’s joint session of Congress at the Capitol in Washington.
In his speech, Trump noted that Daniel’s father had fallen into “quest” to realize his son’s dream of becoming a police officer, and Daniel had already been sworn in as an honorary member of several local police stations.

Daniels later told Fox & Friends that he wanted a brown cowboy hat from Texas that Trump had given past security.
The honor on Tuesday night wasn’t the first heartwarming moment when Daniels got caught up in camera.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol shared a flashback video in 2022 in which Daniel was sworn in as an honorary trooper and Nashville Police Department officer.
