One of the astronauts, Barry “Butch” Wilmore, one of the astronauts left behind on the International Space Station and CEO Elon Musk, SpaceX and Tesla, said a statement suggests former President Joe Biden refused to rescue them.
Wilmore and fellow astronaut Suni Williams launched the Boeing Star Liner spacecraft in June 2024 for a mission set that lasts just eight days. However, after the spacecraft encounters technical problems, NASA decides it’s not safe for astronauts to board and return to Earth, Wilmore and Williams have been stuck at the International Space Station for several months.
Wilmore told Fox News’ Sean Hannity on February 18 that Biden told him he left the astronaut into space for “political reasons” and that he trusted the mask.
Wilmore said Tuesday at an Orbital press conference on Tuesday, according to the New York Post.
Still, Wilmore later admitted that he had no direct knowledge of the consultations that occurred to secure rescue.

NASA astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore, flight engineers from both Expedition 71, will board the International Space Station galley within the Unity module on September 9, 2024.
“But there’s absolutely no information about it,” Wilmore said. “What was offered, what was not provided, who was provided, how the process went. That’s information we don’t have.”
A Biden spokesman did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.
SpaceX’s Dragon will begin rescue missions on Wednesday and arrive at the space station to retrieve Wilmore and Williams, according to NASA.

“Elon (Musk) is currently preparing the ship and preparing to rise and get it,” President Donald Trump told reporters Thursday. “We love you, and we’re here to take you, and you should have been there that long.”

“The most incompetent president in our history has allowed it to happen to you, but this president won’t let it happen,” Trump said.
