Several Georgia Republicans have not refused to run for the Senate in 2026 to run for the Senate.
“We’re always thinking everything. I’m a guy like a ball of money,” R-Ga said. Rep. Rich McCormick told Fox News Digital.
He points to the overperformance of Republicans in his district, some of which are located outside Atlanta. “Most people recognize that we have the highest voter participation in Georgia in our district,” the lawmaker said. “Of course, we’re going to be discussed in this conversation.”

R-Ga. Rep. Mike Collins hasn’t even pulled himself out of the equation.
“If there was an option like this seat I have now, I think I could win and I think I could make a difference. I’m sure I’ll see that,” he told Fox News Digital.
However, both men stated in uncertain terms that if Kemp chose to run, the nomination would be him. “He was able to win that seat very easily, and he could use it to leave,” Collins said.
“If Governor Kemp is involved in that race, I will support him,” explained McCormick. “He’ll win that race both in the primary and the general. So I want to be very, very specific about it.”
Ossov’s Senate seat is rated as “throwing” by nonpartisan political care in Cook’s political report. Away from President Trump’s big victory in Georgia in 2024, Republicans are preparing to win the Senate seat without any cost.

Kemp is a GOP’s favorite to compete with Ossoff for the Senate seat in Battleground State, but has not said whether he wants to start a bid.
“The governor is clear and consistent in his timeline for making decisions about US Senate race in 2026. There is no doubt that Georgian Republicans will unite and beat John Ossoff and will ultimately have a voice that reflects our state’s values in the US Senate.”
In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, Kemp said, “I’m in the middle of a legislative session. We’re continuing our battle for big tort reform. We’re chairing the Republican Governor’s Association. I’ve committed to that.”
“I know I can’t hold on forever, so there’s something we should say about it on the street,” he added.
If Kemp did not choose to run, both McCormick and Collins signaled their candidacy as a possibility.
“But at the end of the day, if he doesn’t run, the candidate that will be Donald Trump’s choice will get it,” predicted Collins.

Former Trump Politician Director James Blair, now the White House vice-chief of staff in legislation, politics and public affairs, did not immediately provide comment to Fox News Digital on whether President Trump will be as overwhelming as before by the Georgia Senate Republican primary.
In 2022, Trump approved governorial candidate David Purdue over Kemp, who has been a tense relationship for many years. Kemp ultimately still managed to win nominations and governor, and survived the battle against the candidates supported by Trump.
Trump was also involved in the Georgia Senate race, quickly endorsing former NFL player Herschel Walker and faced Sen right now. Raphael Warnock, D-ga. Warnock won the leak election against Walker between 51.37% and 48.63%.

“It’s going to be a fight,” McCormick previewed the 2026 race. “It’s probably going to be a billion dollar race, which means a lot of money and a lot of things being said.”

“We need to make sure our message is clear and we are trying to express that we are appealing to Georgia voters,” he added.
