Authorities are seeking help in identifying two people seen near the path where the man was murdered later last month.
The victim, 66-year-old Kuaufutemok Garcia, was shot dead on February 25th while walking along the Coyote Creek Bikeway in Cerritos at about 12:30pm, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The Coyote Creek Bikeway is 5.8 miles long and, according to Metrolink, there is a web page that provides rider information about trails near train stations, but trails are “very popular” with road bikers, trail runners and walkers.
Authorities are seeking help in identifying two people seen near the trail where the man was murdered on February 25, 2025.
No details have been released regarding the circumstances of Garcia’s murder. However, LASD included photos of two people who were seen in the area at the time of the murder and seeking the help of the public to identify them.
