“How many more New Yorkers are you going to detain? How many New Yorkers are there for free?” he cried. “Do you believe in the first revision, Tom Homan?”
Fox News Digital has contacted the White House.
In a post on X, Mamdani said he “put Trump bids – he stood up against Homan, who visited Albany to justify pushing for a massive deportation, carrying out an attack on working-class New Yorkers, and justifying legal permanent residents and unfair detention of his father and father.
“Under Trump’s watch, we see an erosion of the fundamental right to become Americans, including the right to peacefully protest Americans and speak freely about our beliefs,” Mamdani said in a statement provided by a campaign to Fox News Digital. “meanwhile, [New York City Mayor] Eric Adams stands vaguely because he can avoid legal accountability as long as he kisses Trump’s ring. New Yorkers deserve leaders to stand up to our constitutional rights to advance authoritarianism. ”

Homan planned to stand with state Republican lawmakers fighting to abolish the state’s Green Light Act, which is legally challenged by the Trump administration. The law, also known as the Driver’s License Act, allows illegal immigrants to obtain a driver’s license.
Mamdani said he grinned when Homan faced him.
