While visiting the New York State Capitol, President Donald Trump’s border emperor Tom Homan warns immigrants “out of the way” and “out of the way.”
New York State law restricts local and state law enforcement agencies from complying with ice detainees and retaining illegal immigrants only based on immigrant status. Another policy known as the “Green Light Act” allows illegal immigrants to obtain valid driver licenses in New York.
Surrounded by Republican lawmakers at the State Capitol, Homan renewed his promise to deport the “worst first,” denounced non-cooperative policies like New York, poses a threat to federal agents and communities.
He voluntarily urged local and state law enforcement to “put us in prison” and “put us in prison,” but vowed that sanctuary policies would not get in the way of the Trump administration’s deportation plan.

“This is an attack on immigration enforcement and it’s clear what it is,” he said.
Homan said the outcome of not complying with immigration authorities would be more ice agents in the community, rather than fewer.
“You’re not going to stop us, New York, you have to change the status of the sanctuary. If you don’t, we’re going to do our job so that we don’t get in the way,” he said. “Double the people if necessary. Instead of a single police officer arresting the bad guys, they have to send the whole team.”

Homan also denounced New York Governor Kathy Hochul. Kathy Hochul said she supports deportation offences but criticizes many of Trump’s recent immigration behaviour.
“She speaks from both sides of her mouth and says, ‘I want to be deported by criminal foreigners,’ but she wants all the obstacles. [so that] That’s not happening,” he said.

“It’s stupid to reveal the threat of public safety to the public, and that’s just common sense,” he said. “You couldn’t get us to be jailed, so you pushed us into the community.”
Rep. Matt Slater, who attended a visit to Homan, one of the New York Republicans, told Fox News Digital, “It’s reassuring to know that we have a partner at the federal level, like President Trump and Coach Homan, who prioritizes national security and public safety.”
“Coach Homan sent a clear message that New York’s dangerous sanctuary policy and green light laws protecting criminal illegal immigrants are no longer acceptable,” he said.
Hochul did not respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment by the time of publication.
