A significant amount of snow has been created in the San Bernardino Mountains on Thursday, as skiers and snowboarders celebrate.
Nearly two feet of snow is expected in parts of Big Bear, and the mountain resorts do not hide their excitement.
“We don’t usually share [National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s] Predictions, but this is too juicy to keep up with yourself,” Big Bear Mountain Resort shared on his previous Twitter. And it won’t stop – 1-3 inches tonight, 1-3 inches tomorrow. ”

The resort said Thursday was “the best time to ride the hills and request fresh flour” for adrenaline addicts, but it would be difficult to get there from low elevations.
As of Thursday morning, all two-wheel drive vehicles on Highway 38, Highway 18 in Lucerne Valley and Highway 18 in Running Springs needed a chain.
Snowfall has prompted the closure of all seven schools in the Big Bear Valley Unified School District.

Shelby Nelson of Ktla was in Big Bear on Thursday morning. There was snow quickly entering there.
“Big Bear, I’m a bit crazy here. I’m being slammed by another gust of wind,” Nelson said Thursday around 6am.
Snowboarders and skiers told her there were worse places, although they could potentially get stuck in the mountains due to dangerous road conditions.
“In my mind, I might get stuck here for an extra day or two,” Chatsworth’s Max Carrie said with a laugh. “Oh no, I’m stuck here on another day. Another day snowboarding day.”
