Jackie and Shadow fans of Internet Celebrity Eagles were woken up to the devastating news on Friday morning when one of the couple’s three Eagles appeared to be missing from the nest.
Last week, three of us turned into hatch, hatch, hatch, hatch.
Countless fans across the country wondered what happened to the third chick, but the big bear heavy snow made it difficult for volunteers to determine the fate of the third eagle.
In an interview with NBCLA, Sandy Steers, executive director of Big Bear Valley Friends, said:
“The snow is not only in the nest, but it blocks that part of the clear nest so that the camera can’t see it. I don’t know what’s going on,” Stairs said.
According to Steers, everyone is guessing where the third eagle is.
“There are all kinds of possibilities and dangers. Each nest is different and it is different each year,” she explained.
Steer urged his fans to be patient and value the experience every day.
“We want to make sure that no one assumes they don’t know what’s going on. We just have to wait and see and see for nature to do what it is,” she said. “Jackie and Shadow have been dealing with it for a moment, and that’s what we need to do for ourselves.”
