A pair of hospitals and universities received the threat of violence this week on consecutive days in Southern California.

Currently, authorities are investigating all three cases and are extremely vigilant in case three cases have been reported in the last three days.

Wednesday: Loma Linda Children’s Hospital

The first incident occurred Wednesday evening at Loma Linda Children’s Hospital.

In this case, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office said it was aware of the “possibility” report.[y] Armed individual: “Around 6:35pm

Shortly afterwards, hospital officials confirmed that authorities were responding to the scene as part of a “active investigation” that included hundreds of law enforcement officials.

Video footage from Sky5 showed the presence of a very large police outside the hospital as dozens of police cruisers, armed vehicles and heavily armed officers wearing tactical equipment responded to the scene.

Authorities warned the public to avoid the community while investigations on hospital campuses were active, and potential patients were encouraged to visit other local medical centers.

The scene was cleared by around 9pm

In the wake of the threat, the sheriff’s department took him to social media and declared that he could not hear a shot and no injuries were reported.

They later said that the first report of the active shooter was attributed to a “swatting call.” This is a dangerous and illegal prank, with callers claiming there is a life-threatening emergency in certain locations, eliciting a massive police response.

Authorities confirmed they are already pursuing leads from potential sources.

Thursday: Claremont McKenna College

Less than 24 hours after the Loma Linda incident, Claremont McKenna College students and faculty were forced to evacuate into place while police responded to reports of possible shooters on campus.

The Student Life, a newspaper run by university students, reported that a campus safety official notified the school community just before 5pm, saying there were police activities and potential shooters. Shortly afterwards, shelter warnings continued.

“The caller dispatched him to be in the toilet at Claremont McKenna College Campus, saying he was threatening to take someone prisoner and cause harm,” Claremont Police Department officials said in a news release.

Sky5 footage showed the SWAT team responding to the area, with dozens of officers from various departments, including Claremont, Raverne, Ontario and the Highlands Police Department responding. Students were seen escorting from at least one campus building with their hands on their heads.

Thursday evening classes were cancelled due to the incident. Classes resumed on Friday morning, according to student life.

Two hours after the threat was first received, all clear things were given and the order for shelter in the location was lifted. No one had weapons or casualties.

Further investigation into the incident led authorities to determine that it was a “swatting” call that required the deployment of “a wide range of resources,” but no further information was released immediately.

KTLA requested comment from the Claremont Police Department for details on the case.

Friday: Huntington Hospital

The third incident this week occurred at Huntington Hospital in Pasadena on Friday.

A Pasadena city spokesman told KTLA that a 33-year-old man who poses a threat of “violent attacks” on the hospital around 2pm had fallen into lockdown.

The man was admitted to the medical centre earlier that day, officials said.

Hospital employees received text warning them about the threat of “Code Silver.” The incoming ambulance was redirected to other nearby hospitals, and neither patient nor visitor were allowed to enter the hospital during lockdown.

Multiple police squad cars were seen outside the hospital as officers began an investigation.

Authorities immediately began investigating the incident and determined it was a legitimate threat, not a “swatting” call.

The man was later taken into custody by police in Los Angeles, officials said. Media reports identified him as Jose Jurado.

On Saturday, Pasadena city officials told KTLA that they could “confidently” tell them that the two incidents in Loma Linda and Claremont were not thought to be linked to this.
