House Republicans target 26 Democrats on their mid-term target list for early 2026

The House GOP Campaign Committee aims to become more than 20 Democrats in the room, as it aims to expand a highly vulnerable majority in next year’s midterm elections.

On Monday, the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) released its first target list for mid-2026, which includes 26 Democrats from coast to coast.

Republicans now control the house when the Chamber of Commerce is fully powered, with 220-215 people in their majority.

While the administration’s parties, who are clearly Republicans, have traditionally faced serious political headwinds in medium-term elections, the NRCC chairman is optimistic.

Fox first: House Republicans target Democrats over this important vote

Rep. Richard Hudson, chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee, will speak at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on July 18, 2024.

In an interview with Fox News’ Fox and Friends, Rep. Richard Hudson, of Rn.C., stressed that 13 of the 26 House Democrats they are targeting are in the district “carryed by President Donald Trump in the last election.”

Hudson characterized the upcoming midterm as “Hospital Republican Opportunity Election.”

And Hudson, who pilots the House GOP campaign arm on his second straight cycle, added: “We’re bullish. Republicans are under attack thanks to Donald Trump.”

Democrats on the NRCC target list include Josh Harder (Division 9), Adam Gray (13th), George Whiteside (No. 27), Derek Tran (No. 45) and Dave Min (No. 47). FL Darren Soto (ninth) and Jared Moskowitz (23rd). Frank Murvan (1st) of Indiana and Jared Golden (2nd) of Maine. Kristen McDonald Rivett (8th) of Michigan. North Carolina’s Don Davis (1st). Chris Pappas (1st) of New Hampshire. Nelly Pooh (ninth) of New Jersey. Gabe Vasquez (second) of New Mexico.

Also on the list are Nevada’s Dina Titus (1st), Susieley (3rd), and Stephen Horseford (4th). New York’s Tom Suzzy (3rd), Laura Gillen (4th), and Josh Reilly (9th). Mercy Capter (ninth) and Emilia Sykes (13th) of Ohio. Henry Cuerar (28th) and Vicente Gonzalez (34th) of Texas. Eugene Vindman (7th) of Virginia. Marie Grusenkamp Perez (third) of New Mexico.

The rival Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) recently released a list of what is considered the most vulnerable incumbent known as the Frontliner.

Jahanna Hayes of Connecticut, John Mannion of New York, and Janelle Bynum of Oregon all created the DCCC list, but were not included in the NRCC list.

Meanwhile, Moskowitz, Pappas and Soto were not listed as Frontliners, but were included in the NRCC list.

The DCCC pointed to their performance in the last November election when Democrats bit off a minor bit from the majority of the GOP home.

“With NRCC’s fake bravery, House Democrats over-performed the nation in 2024 with combat-tested candidates that won despite the NRCC’s fake bravery and these frontliners would win again in the middle,” DCCC spokesman Viet Shelton told Fox News Digital. “The truth is that House Republicans are running scared and refuse to hold City Hall because they don’t want to scream at lowering prices, defeating the economy and cutting Medicaid to pay the tax credits of billionaires like Elon Musk.”
