Authorities have announced that he has been arrested and charged with attempted murder in connection with a malicious attack that took place over the weekend.
Deputies at Perris Station were dispatched to the 21,000 block of Mountain Avenue, in the 21,000 block of 21,000 block of Mountain Avenue, at 7:45am Sunday, on a report of a deadly weapon assault.
Good Hope is a census-designated location west of Perris and northeast of Lake Elsinore.

According to Google Street View, when deputies arrived at the scene, they found a man suffering from a “traumatic stab wound” in a rural neighborhood with a foundation.
The unidentified victim was rushed to the hospital immediately and remained stable as of Monday.
Lawmakers began an investigation and were able to identify and find the suspect, 36-year-old Salvador Ortiz, on the scene.

Ortiz was booked at COIS Bird Detention Centre in Murieta for an attempted murder. Search records for the inmates show that he is charged with assaulting a deadly weapon other than a firearm.

His bail is set at $1 million and his next court appearance is scheduled for Wednesday morning at Riverside Hall of Justice.
