According to multiple media reports, Wes Scantlin, the lead singer of rock group Puddle of Mudd, was arrested in the Torrance area on March 11th.
Los Angeles County Jail records show that the 52-year-old was booked at Torrance City Jail on a felony and released on bail on March 15th.
According to people, Scantlin faces domestic violence and drug charges after alleged conflict with his girlfriend.
TMZ reported it was around 3am when police responded to a fight call in the apartment with the singer and his girlfriend.
“When the officers arrived, they spoke to Wes and his girlfriend and determined that the couple had been caught up in a verbal discussion that was said to have become physical at some point,” the report said.
According to a source from TMZ, police allegedly arrested Scantlin after seeing the woman’s mark on the arm.
While searching for the musician, TMZ said police had discovered a small amount of controlled substance.
Details are limited, and authorities did not immediately reveal further details about the identity of his girlfriend or her health.
Additionally, the Torrance Police Department has not confirmed these reports and has not provided details as of Monday afternoon.
The arrest comes after Scantin’s final booking in August 2024, following a confrontation between Burbank police and SWAT members.
