Minnesota Sen. Justin Aichon, R., was arrested Monday for seeking a teenager, said hours after the introduction of the bill, which proposed “Trump Mad Syndrome” (TDS) as a form of mental illness.
Detectives at the Bloomington Police Department were communicating with Acorn, whom he assumed was talking to a 17-year-old woman, police said. He arrives on Monday to meet his teens in person, but instead meets local officials.
He was later booked at the Bloomington Police Station jail and was expected to be taken to the Hennepin County Adult Detention Center. Authorities said in a statement Tuesday.

The Acorn bill defines “Trump Shrinkage Syndrome” as “the acute onset of the delusion of an otherwise normal person” triggered by President Donald Trump’s administration and response to his policies.
He co-hosted the bill Monday with four Republican senators.
Acorn’s arrest prompted his colleagues to resign.
“We are shocked by these reports and this suspect’s conduct calls for an immediate resignation,” the Minnesota Republican wrote in a statement to X. “Justin has a difficult path and he needs to focus on his family.”
