Culver City offers the opportunity to trade the rush hour stress of live music and mocktails for live music and mocktails in a free “Vibes After Five” series designed to help locals relax and connect.
The first event in the series will take place this Thursday from 5pm to 8pm at Culver Step on Culver Boulevard.
At the event, live DJ sets, outdoor games and non-alcoholic craft cocktails by KCRW’s Tyler “Boogie” Boudreaux are cocktails from Curiosity eLIXIRS from Burden of Burden of Burdensy, a South Pasadena-based non-alcoholic bottle shop.
Culver City officials say the atmosphere after five times is intended to provide a fun alternative to encourage post-work burglars to sit and use public transport. Those traveling to the city to participate in the event can ride a Culver City Circulator. Culver City Circulator is a free shuttle that brings riders downtown while easily connecting to LA Metro E Line Station.
Real-time tracking of Culver City transit options can be found online.
Thursday’s event is the first of three planned atmospheres after five events in Culver City, with another scheduled for April 24 at C3 on Bristol Parkway and May 14 at Stealthville on Hayden Avenue.
