Thirteen suspects were arrested during a massive operation targeting gang members in Los Angeles County.
Detectives from the LA County Sheriff’s Office were investigating an Antelope Valley Street gang accused of violent crimes. Several members of the gang were identified along with their residence.
With the support of several agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), search warrants were provided at 18 locations across Lancaster and Palmdale on Thursday.
During the search, detectives seized 23 firearms, including two AK-47 rifles, a large-capacity magazine, ammunition and a large amount of drugs. In one location, there was suspected of C-4 explosives and mortars, and was safely removed by LASD arson and explosive details.
Thirteen suspects have been arrested on felony charges.

All suspects were booked at Palmdale Sheriff’s Station and held on zero bail. Those identities have not been released. The court hearing is scheduled for March 24th.
“To combat crime-street gang activity, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office established the Safe Street (OSS) Department in 1979,” officials said. “There is an OSS team assigned to patrol stations throughout the county, and it is dedicated to investigating, identifying and arresting suspects involved in criminal street gang activities.”
