Last summer’s starry ski handover to the LA 2028 Olympics was with who is local performers, including Billy Eilish, Snoop Dogg and Red Hot Chili Pepper, and parachute Tom Cruise. And as I look forward to the actual game, there’s one more Los Angeles icon that I almost certainly can add to that list.
It’s a “fairly fair bet” for Kendrick Lamar to “in some way into the Los Angeles Olympics.” That’s the Associated Press interview with LA28 president Casey Wasserman, and the talent agency counts the Compton rapper on the musician’s roster.
Whether it’s equivalent to a full-fledged performance (like the highly Compton-inspired Super Bowl halftime show at Sophie Stadium in 2022), or whether it’s completely something else, we’ll have to wait and see. But at least at this point in pop culture, Lamar has one involved in LA’s global showcase, certainly seems like an easy thing to us.

Wasserman also said the Eton and Palisade fires this January address the impact of their impact on LA’s Olympic plans, and that the disaster will affect the organising committee’s “core philosophy ahead.”

(However, the expansion of the city-owned convention center in downtown LA will not host fencing, judo, tussue, taekwondo and wrestling, as large-scale infrastructure is needed to rebuild in Pallisad, the Pacific Ocean.
Finally, the LA28 chairman also addressed how federal politics affects the game, or rather how he thinks he would not. Wasserman assured that “the US will open and accept it in all 209 countries for the Olympics,” and that despite international concerns about US travel and tourism at the moment, it had no anticipated issues regarding visas and participation.
