The loved one begs the hit and run driver who killed the boy when he crashed into a building to point himself.

The family gathered at the crash scene on Saturday to honor 4-year-old Macia Clark, who was killed in the crash, at a memorial.

On March 18, the suspect, a 37-year-old woman, was driving an Infinity FX35 SUV while the boy and his mother were among the passengers.

Investigators at the Los Angeles Police Department believe she was speeding up when she lost control of the vehicle and dropped off the road.

She crashed straight from the front at the corner of a building near Crenshaw Boulevard and Rodeo Place in Los Angeles’ Baldwin Hills/Crenshaw district.

The woman abandoned the car and later escaped from the scene in a white sedan.

The boy and his mother were taken to the hospital, where the child later died of injuries. His mother suffered from multiple fractures.

The family said they knew the suspect’s identity and said she was a friend of the boy’s mother.

The child’s grandmother said she chose to forgive her while asking her to do the right thing.

“Submit yourself. I’ll forgive you,” said Regina Gipson, the boy’s grandmother. “My grandson, he’s not breathing anymore. I miss him and I hope he’ll come back now.

The suspect was described as a 37-year-old black woman. Police have not disclosed her identity.

“The driver will immediately stop if involved in a collision that it is safe, notify emergency services and remind them to stay on the scene to identify themselves,” LAPD said.

Anyone with information about the crash will be asked to call LAPD detective Moreno at 424-298-7898.

Anonymous tips can be provided to LA Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at lacrimestoppers.org.
