Three men broke into a Woodland Hills home while residents were inside, tied up one of the victims and took off in a safe, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Officers responded to the 23,000 block of Irwin Street on Sunday around 11pm.
The robbery happened around 7pm, but the victim didn’t feel safe enough to call police until hours later, LAPD said.
At the time of the robbery, one of the three victims was sleeping on the first floor of the house.
He was awakened to two robbers, zipping his arms and legs.
According to LAPD, the victim once owned a coin business, but the robber asked where the coin was.
A second victim, a woman, was in the laundry room at home, when she heard the noise and faced the robbery.
Both victims were then trapped in their bedrooms when they heard the robbers search their home, LAPD said.
The robber took a safe from his home, but the victim said he couldn’t remember what was inside.
The male victim was only minor injuries from being zip tie and tied up, while the female victim was not injured.
As of Monday morning, no arrests had been made.
