Police are looking for a man who allegedly punched an elderly woman and sexually assaulted another woman at a grocery store in South La.
The incident occurred on August 25, 2024 at a store in the 2600 block of South Vermont Avenue around 11:13am, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The victim, a 32-year-old woman, said she was sexually assaulted by the suspect while shopping.

Police allegedly strode behind her and chased her throughout the shop before suddenly grabbing her inappropriately.
When he fled the store, he punched an elderly woman with chest before leaving the area.
On March 25, police released surveillance footage of a man walking through a grocery store on suspicion of the incident.
He is said to be a Hispanic man around the age of 30. He is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs about 230 pounds.
He has dark hair and finally saw him wearing thick glasses and a Burgundy windbreaker with the “Wake and Bake” logo on the back. His car is a two-door white-collar sedan with a black hood and spoilers in the trunk.
Detectives believe there may be additional casualties that have not yet made progress.
“Our friends and family, Los Angeles residents, should be free from this behavior,” said LAPD detective Robert Smay, a sexual assault investigator at Southwest Division. “We encourage anyone with information about the identity of the suspect to move forward.”
