Riverside County officials are asking the public for help in reviewing new information surrounding the 2014 woman murder at trailer park.

A call came on Saturday, March 22, 2014, demanding medical assistance to be sent to the 200 block of South Lyon Avenue in Hemet, according to the Hemet Police Department.

The first responder to arrive arrived at a trailer park near downtown Hemet and found the deceased woman lying inside.

She was identified as 47-year-old Dori de ann Jamison.

“The Hemet Police Department was called to investigate the suspected death,” authorities said. “The victim was later determined to have been strangled.”

Further investigation into the circumstances surrounding Jamison’s death revealed that she recently broke up with her boyfriend and began dating another man. An individual interviewed with police described her as “always bright and happy,” and said that her neighbors had never heard of any fights or arguments from the trailer for Jamison at the time of the murder.

Officials said the last known person who spoke to his mother, Jamison, described the conversation as “positive,” unaware of concerns and that his daughter didn’t mention anything.

The conversation took place Wednesday before Jamison died, police said.

“After not hearing from Ms. Jamison for a few days, her ex-boyfriend came to check on her,” Hemet police said. “There was no answer when he arrived. He asked his neighbor to go to her trailer with her, and he forced him to enter the trailer where he found her body.”

The detectives found no other forced entrances or signs of a struggle in the trailer.

There was no further details and the case was cold.

Eleven years later, the Hemet Police Department’s murder cold case unit is now seeking the public for new information or leads to help resolve the case and bring closure to Jamison’s family.
