Government Efficiency (DOGE) announced on Tuesday it ended its $4.7 billion 113 contracts, including a USDA (USDA) consulting agreement on Peru’s climate change activities.

“[Tuesday] The agency has ended 113 wasted contracts with a ceiling value of $4.7 billion and a savings of $3.3 billion, including a $145,000 USDA consulting agreement for “Peruvian Climate Change Activities.”

Doge also announced that the Labor Department has cancelled $577 million with the “America’s Last” grant, and cancelled its total savings of $237 million.

The cancelled funds included $10 million for “gender equity in the Mexican workplace,” $12.2 million for “South American Worker Empowerment,” and $6.25 million for “improving respect for workers’ rights in the agricultural supply chain” in Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador.

It also strengthened $5 million to increase women’s participation in workplaces in West Africa, $4.3 million to support foreign migrant workers in Malaysia, $3 million to enhance social security access and workers’ protection for internal migrant workers in Bangladesh, and $3 million to help Lesotho’s South African country’s safe and inclusive work environment.

Leading by Elon Musk, Doge is a temporary organization within the White House created by executive order earlier this year.

President Donald Trump has given the organization 18 months to do it, tasked with optimizing the federal government, streamlining its operations and reducing spending.

OPM’s second email to federal employees asks what they did last week and adds a new requirement: Report

The department has cancelled numerous Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives with federal agencies, consulting agreements, leases of underused federal buildings, and replication agencies and programs.

As of March 26, Doge had billed it on its site, saving Americans $130 billion, or $807.45 per taxpayer.

Doge critics argue that organizations should not have access to the federal system too much and be allowed to cancel federal contracts or cut down on various agencies.
