May the Force and Chewbacca bowcasters be with you.
Both are with the best bidders after Wednesday’s auction featuring iconic film and television props and outfits.
Commemorative company Propstore sold 450 units on the first day of the Entertainment Memorialive Auction in Los Angeles, revealing a total of nearly $7 million.
The top item was the Bowcaster, a screen match used by Chewbacca in Star Wars, which sold for $768,600. No information is provided regarding bidders.
But if a tall, hairy Wookiee, also known as Chewbacca (also known as “chewy”), is asked about the sale of his bowcaster, he will probably say something like “uuuuuuuuur, ahhhhrrrrr, arrrgggghhhhhhhh.”

Who will call when “Ghostbusters” light up, radio-controlled ghost traps and pedals are auctioned?
Well, I’m clearly a huge fan of the Ghostbusters. One of them was probably the top bidder and paid $327,600 for the item that passed the screen.
