One West Hollywood apartment resident is sighing at Ah Relief after his “neighbor from hell” was arrested and charged with felony and misdemeanors this week.

According to residents who spoke to KTLA 5’s John Fenoglio on March 20, the man lived in the building for years, but recently began acting irregularly. Residents did not show their faces, fearing retaliation.

“It was like a light switch,” one resident said. “Because he is okay – but not a great neighbor – [was never] In this way, we destroy apartments, attack people, attack our doors with bars. ”

“We just have to live together for the past three months,” they added.

People living in the building in the 1200 block of North Fairfax Avenue frequently called police for fear of safety, but officers said it wouldn’t help.

“The police keep telling us there’s literally nothing they can do,” one resident said on March 20th. “They leave every time without taking action.”

Gang-related shooting resulted in a man being killed in an RV. Three suspects sought

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said the lack of action changed this week when authorities locked out at the man’s apartment.

“On Wednesday, representatives from LASD’s Civic Management Department performed a lockout at the location following the eviction process,” authorities said in a press release issued Friday night. “After about 30 minutes, [the suspect] I returned to that location, re-entered my previous unit and tried to destroy my property at that location. ”

The man identified as Valentino Lopez was soon arrested by deputies.

According to LASD, 41-year-old Lopez was charged with two counts of vandalism and public nuisance. According to inmate search records, he remains in custody with a bail set at $100,000.

His next court hearing is scheduled for Tuesday morning.

Anyone looking for additional information about the situation will be asked to call 310-358-4033 to contact Detective Zeff at West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station.
