Police are investigating multiple calls from relevant South Bay residents about men who say indecent things to women and post videos on social media.
“The Hermosa Beach Police Department knows multiple videos circulating on social media for individuals who are live streaming around town,” the department said in an Instagram post Wednesday. “I saw these videos and documented them.”
Viewers who wanted to be identified solely as “Gregory,” told KTLA in an email that they had seen men try to elicit responses from people they could on the jetty at Hermosa Beach.
“When they react in the opposite direction, he’ll run away and scream, ‘Attack!'” I had my family love one of the local businesses and waited for them until this guy moved,” Gregory wrote.

After flagging police, Gregory argued that officers chased the man but could not arrest him because of his right to amend.
In some of the videos posted, men are seen chasing women and making sexual comments while doing their daily lives.
Hermosa Beach police said detectives were investigating the case and encouraged those who believe they are victims of the crime to call them at 310-318-0360 or go to the police station at 540 Pier Ave.
Police also said, “In many cases, victims must be willing to sue the charges to promote arrests by officers.”
