Kelly also refused to tell the dealer whether the attack involved shooting and throwing a Molotov cocktail.

The Arizona Senator admitted, “It’s certainly a vandalism, it’s a crime, a serious crime. Especially, you shouldn’t do that, burning a car, destroying someone’s car, or even using someone’s car as a key.”

Kelly said the person in charge should be brought to trial and charged, but was forced to Fox News Digital on whether the attack would be identified as terrorism, and he replied, “I think we need to take a lighter look at the whole “terrorist” word.”

“Sometimes, when you try to expand on this, it’s a bit of a loss of focus,” he said. “But when people are destroying people’s cars and dealers, it’s wrong and dangerous. Someone will get hurt, so the full power of law enforcement needs to reach this issue and be prosecuted.”

There have been at least 80 vandalism against Tesla vehicles in the US and Canada, and at least 10 incidents of vandalism and arson against Tesla dealers, charging stations and facilities.

US Attorney General Pam Bondy said the Department of Justice is investigating the incident as “domestic terrorism.”

But major Democrats have remained largely silent on the issue, with few people willing to condemn the attack as a terrorist act.

“Donald Trump is in power, he’s abusing it, and it’s going to hurt people,” she said. “We see American citizens being picked up because of rhetoric from the administration, rhetoric from the right. We see a lot of profiling happening. It’s very dangerous and I think it’s been violated against people again.”

D-Md. Rep. Steny Hoyer of the group said at a rally on January 6, 2021 that President Donald Trump “telled people to effectively rely on violence.”

Heuer said he discouraged everyone from resorting to violence, but insisted on a peaceful way to tell Trump and Musk “how angry we are.”
